OCC Member Benefits Summary 1.2025

Here is a summary of the benefits of being an OCC Member:

o   Individual’s affiliation, contact info, bio and photo are published prominently on our website.

o   Hear keynote speaker presentations at our luncheons seven times a year that inform and illuminate international issues both here and abroad.

o   Network at our luncheons with other OCC members, visiting politicians and dignitaries, leaders from local, regional, state, and economic development organizations; with various civic, educational, financial, hospitality and transportation industries; and with charitable, cultural and other non-profit organizations that contribute to Oregon’s international agenda, including the interest to encourage the growth of trade and commercial activities between the regions our members serve and our member countries

o   Receive invitation for you and your guest to attend the Scholars’ Reception to honor 12 outstanding students from six universities chosen to receive OCC scholarships each year.

o   Receive invitation for you and your guest to the OCC Holiday Reception held at the end of the year.

o   Participate in special tours of interest arranged specifically for OCC members.

o   Receive special invitations by outside organizations to the OCC members to various events that promote international awareness through education, interaction and cultural participation that contribute to Oregon’s international agenda.

o   Access free online webinars and resources offered by the Consular Corps College as a member of the OCC

o   Access free resources on OCC’s member only section on our web.

o   Participate in a robust onboarding process for new honorary consuls, including modules on diplomatic protocol, important key contacts in Oregon, and actual introductions to some of the key contacts in Oregon and southwest Washington.

o   Participate on one or more OCC committees, including supporting the annual OCC Celebrate Trade gala which raises funds to provide scholarships to students in international affairs study programs at five Oregon universities. These scholarships support Oregon’s next generation of leaders as they study abroad, gain international experience, and expand their multi-cultural awareness.
