OCC Scholarship Reception
Our guest speaker for January will be Dr. Kyle Lascurettes, Associate Professor of International Affairs at Lewis & Clark. He will speak on the topic of “How Well is the United Nations Working in the 21st Century?” His remarks will consider the appropriateness of the current composition of the Security Council, the impact of UN Security Council vetoes by the Permanent Five (especially Russia and China), prospects for reform, and broader impacts elsewhere across the vast UN system.
