Wilfred Pinfold was asked to serve as British Honorary Consul for Portland, Oregon in 2019. After a 23 year career at Intel he left to co-found and run urban.systems, a company that provides a range of civic engagement, financial, design, and software services that reduce cost, simplify design, and facilitate financing of urban infrastructure. He is also President of Open Commons a membership based non-profit providing an organizationally independent place to collaborate around common design, engineering and scientific goals to address issues of community vibrancy, civic engagement, sustainability, resilience and economics. Dr. Pinfold holds a position as Research Professor at Portland State University where is supports the Digital City Testbed Center and has taught in both business and engineering departments.
