Skip Newberry has served as honorary consul for Estonia in Oregon since 2025. Mr. Newberry has a background in entrepreneurship, law, technology and public policy. Mr. Newberry serves as President & CEO of the Technology Association of Oregon (TAO). Previously he was the Chair of the Board for Technology Councils of North America (TECNA), an international organization uniting over 60 regional technology associations that collectively represent over 22,000 technology companies in the U.S. and Canada.
Promoting economic relations between Estonia and Oregon is a primary focus of Mr. Newberry's responsibilities. As honorary consul, he can advise Estonian companies about doing business in the U.S. and in Oregon. He can also assist Oregon companies with opportunities in Estonia.
Mr. Newberry can provide advice and guidance for distressed Estonian citizens and permanent residents who are temporarily abroad, assisting them in their contacts with local authorities or the Estonian embassy.
