New York born Michelle-Shari Kruss, J.D., C.D.R. is a graduate of UCSD holding degrees in International Relations and a minor in Japanese Studies. Before attending law school Michelle-Shari had the privilege of working for the Honorable Consul from Sweden John Norton, served as international trade liaison to Mexico for Saeta International and was a Consultant for Anderson Consulting primarily representing their advance technology clients.
A distinguished alumna of Willamette Law School ’95 she excelled as a writer for the International Law Review and as a valued Member of the Moot Court Board. Simultaneously, Michelle-Shari demonstrated her dedication to practical experience by clerking for three prominent firms with emphasis in contract, municipality and juvenile law. Her achievements were further highlighted by her receipt of a number of scholarships including becoming the first out of state recipient of the Southern California Women’s Golf Association Gloria Fecht Scholarship.
Michelle-Shari has achieved remarkable success since graduating from law school. Her accomplishments include serving as Kate Brown’s Legislative Assistant, presiding as an Oregon Juvenile Peer Court Judge, and providing legal counsel for numerous telecommunication companies in Oregon and Washington as outside counsel. Currently, as the founder of KrussLaw PC, a boutique Estate Planning firm in Lake Oswego, she brings over 30 years of experience as an attorney to her practice. Michelle-Shari is widely recognized and respected in her field, known for her scholarly contributions and as a certified presenter for Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programs. Her dedication, expertise, and commitment to excellence have solidified her reputation as a leading figure in the legal community. She has authored two books and is working on a third.
As a Board member for esteemed regional non-profits such as Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Tom Sargent Safety Center, The Oregon Zoo, President of the University of Oregon Parent’s Association, Make-A-Wish Philanthropic Giving Council, Friends of Lake Oswego Library, and various others, Michelle Shari has been deeply committed to philanthropy and community involvement throughout her tenure. In all these roles, has demonstrated a steadfast dedication to philanthropy and community involvement, leveraging her skills, resources, and network to effect positive change.
