The Oregon Consular Corps (OCC) is an organization of career and honorary consular officials who serve or have served as representatives of foreign nations and jurisdictions in Oregon and in the Pacific Northwest. OCC members represent approximately 40 nations as well as the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Seattle.

Statement regarding Ukraine: “The Oregon Consular Corps (OCC), as an organization of career and honorary consular officials representing foreign nations and jurisdictions in the Pacific Northwest, seeks peaceful resolutions of issues. As the ongoing Russian military invasion of Ukraine has unfolded, the OCC urges the parties to reach a peaceful resolution through diplomacy and dialogue to stop the assault on the sovereign nation of Ukraine.”

Consuls and honorary consuls are officially appointed by a foreign nation and recognized by the U.S. Department of State. They render assistance and protection to nationals of the countries they represent and serve as spokespersons for that  government.  They also promote ties between Oregon and the nations they represent.

Honorary members of the Oregon Consular Corps are individuals who have represented the U.S. government abroad as ambassadors. Associate members of the OCC are individuals from Oregon who have international ties to business, trade, education, and culture.

The Oregon Consular Corps promotes activities that support international trade, business, exchange and education. Each year the Oregon Consular Corps, in cooperation with its sister organization the Oregon Consular Corps Scholarship Fund, organizes the Celebrate Trade gala which raises funds to support scholarships at five Oregon universities.

Oregon has been host to foreign consular services since 1921. The Oregon Consular Corps is officially recognized as a 501(c)(7) organization. The Oregon Consular Corps Scholarship Fund is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
